Strengths and Accomplishments

While pursuing my Master's in Learning Engineering, I have cultivated the skills necessary to critically evaluate both my own work and the work of others. I have honed my ability to assess and analyze designs from the initial stages of the design process to its completion, always seeking strengths as well as areas for improvement.

I have grown increasingly comfortable with presenting and sharing my evolving designs and ideas with others, eagerly welcoming their feedback. This newfound confidence in showcasing my work-in-progress has fostered a sense of excitement and openness toward receiving valuable insights from others.

Collaboration stands as one of my key strengths, and I am grateful for the numerous opportunities I have had to collaborate with my peers and colleagues. Recognizing that we each bring diverse experiences and areas of expertise, I have learned the importance of discerning when to contribute as an expert and when to adopt the mindset of a learner. This skill has been pivotal in fostering effective teamwork and leveraging the collective intelligence of a team.

Interests

My passion lies in designing learning experiences that are not only educational but also playful, engaging, and meaningful. I believe that learning should be an enjoyable and interactive process that sparks curiosity.

One area of particular interest to me is Social Studies Education, where I am driven to develop interactive learning opportunities that highlight the experiences of individuals and communities that have been historically marginalized or excluded from traditional narratives of history. By incorporating diverse perspectives and previously untold stories, I aim to create a more inclusive and comprehensive understanding of our shared past.

Additionally, I am excited about the opportunities that digital technologies bring to the realm of education. I recognize the power of technology as a tool for enhancing learning experiences, but I also understand that its effective use requires comprehensive support and guidance. I'm interested in exploring ways to meaningfully integrate digital tools and platforms, ensuring that they align with my pedagogical values and goals, and provide enriched learning environments.
